what about an hardcore area?
what about giving the PvE players who are running out of stuff to do a REAL mission farming area.
What about sending them into a portal to demi gods world were there are permenent death?
of course such an area would require lvl 40 and lvl 50 monsters and good rewards and uniqe drops, but it could be interesting... people would play allot more, and people do have been asking for a hardcore mode, so its a little bit of giving people what they want. of course it should be an optional area and you should get a warning: "warning - if you die in this mission your character will permently be deleted. are you sure you want to continue? y/n?"
it also gives people an excuse to play through the campaign again and try different classes, making sure that old and newbie areas of the game wont get "killed" as everyone play all the new higih level areas.
in that way the entire game will keep going around. but then does areas needs to be almost impossible. it would require a band of PvE players with the skills of last pride with PvE tactics to kill one mob.
it would be interesting because it would also be a major risk, but at the same time with gws low level cap it will not be THAT bad to start over.
what do you guys think? it could be the ultimate challange for pve players? it would keep the economy and sales of low level crap going because veterans would get killed all the time and need to get up their again.
perhaps the areas could include a special stone that would allow you to ressurect once or twice within the mission, but not more.. it should really be... mission impossible:-D epic challanges.. life missions. the end of all things. only true heroes would be able to do does. it could be fun I think. it should not be forced. just be an extra mission added for people who want to do it. push back chapter 3 and let it happen and allot of the "elite missions is to restricted" stuff will go away?

Why would it require high player levels ?
Apart from the high player levels and the perma-death, you are just asking for more content like the elite missions.

Even if you added a permadeath thing, someone would spend 5 minutes writing a near-death-quit program to abuse the sytem.
Even without this program, it takes days to get to level 20 (unless you power level), nobody would ever go on these missions unless they were going to delete a character anyway. Hardcore mode only gives everyone one more thing to whine about. "I had a mini kuunavang and a perfect 15^50 zodiac axe, and my character died!"
I like the idea of a "win big or lose it all" mission. Maybe there should be exclusive areas like the realms of the gods, but with a significantly higher entrance fee (to also avoid 1-2 man farming). Maybe something like 12K (1k per person in a 12 man group.)

Getting level 20 takes just 1-2 days in Factions actually. But buying the armor, runes and weapons all the time because the characters get deleted will only be appealing to people who already ARE very rich and having nothing to lose. So the rich will get even more richer. The permadeath is a bit too much, but then again, you don't HAVE to do it.
If you want to make it a "win big or lose all" theme, how about a 12 person team where EVERYONE has to pay 25k?

I don't think the envoys would leave you permadead for saving Cantha.
